The Houston Alumnae Association of Zeta Tau Alpha as a group participates in multiple philanthropic projects each year as we are committed to serving others.
MAKING STRIDES AGAINST BREAST CANCER®
For more than 100 years, the American Cancer Society® (ACS) has worked to save lives and eliminate cancer as a major health problem. ACS is the largest voluntary health organization in the United States. Through efforts in education, patient outreach, research, and advocacy and public policy work, ACS seeks to help people stay well and get well by finding cures and fighting back.

Zeta Tau Alpha’s premier Think Pink® partnership is with the American Cancer Society as the National Survivor Ambassador of Making Strides Against Breast Cancer®. Each October, ACS organizes nearly 300 Making Strides Against Breast Cancer® walks across the country, making it the largest network of breast cancer awareness events in the nation.
NATIONAL FOOTBALL LEAGUE
Since 1999, Zeta Tau Alpha alumnae and collegiate members have worked with all 32 NFL teams to increase awareness of breast cancer at professional football games. ZTA is an official fan outreach partner of the National Football League.
Beginning with the Washington Redskins in 1999, ZTAs have helped spread the message of breast cancer awareness to over 5 million football fans across the country. Since 2010, our members have joined other local collegiate and alumnae ZTA chapters to PINK OUT a Houston Texans game during October.
THINK PINK LUNCHEON
Over the past 11 years, the Houston Alumnae Association of Zeta Tau Alpha has raised over $385,000 for breast cancer research, education, and awareness.

ZTA FOUNDATION
Every year, sisters donate and raise millions of dollars for the ZTA Foundation to support philanthropic efforts, scholarship awards and educational programs.
Every donation to the Foundation supports the founding principles of the Fraternity. Funds support initiatives that make a difference in the lives of our members and the communities of which we are a part.
